DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

Upon completion of a master’s degree, the doctorate opens the path toward a career in science and research.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING OFFERINGS

In addition to its standard courses of study, the TUM offers students a broad spectrum of organized events, courses and continuing education programs ranging from philosophy lectures and language courses to tutoring certification.

TUM PROGRAM ACCREDITATION

The accreditation of bachelor’s and master’s programs was introduced as part of the Bologna Reform. The goal of accreditation is quality assurance. Rather than accrediting each individual program (program accreditation), TUM elected to carry out a system accreditation, which focuses on the university’s internal quality management system instead of individual bachelor’s and master’s programs. Once the University’s quality management system has successfully undergone system accreditation, all of it’s bachelor’s and master’s programs are automatically accredited.
